Joan

Joan is the flagship of Brook Cottage Shepherd Huts, an adults-only, multi-award-winning glamping retreat set across three acres of wildflower meadow with a private wildlife lake, on the Llŷn Peninsula near Pwllheli in North Wales. The largest of the site's five handcrafted huts and the only true shepherd's hut among them, Joan is a self-contained bolthole for two with an eclectic designer interior, a fully fitted kitchen, an en-suite shower room, a cosy double bed and a wood burner with logs supplied. Outside, it has its own fire pit/BBQ and seating with uninterrupted views over the lake to the Yr Eifl mountains. Thoughtful touches run throughout, from fair-trade teas and Welsh cakes to a Bluetooth speaker, and it's one of only two huts that welcome a dog. Owner-run and open all year, it has featured in The Guardian, The Times, The Sunday Telegraph and on BBC's Interior Design Masters.
