Overview
Loveday is the elegant one: a beautifully styled shepherd's hut named after the heroine of Eden's favourite childhood book, The Little White Horse, and made for a romantic weekend away. She sits in her own south-facing paddock on Ash Farm with private parking and a new orchard, and her deck faces down the valley with glorious 180-degree panoramic views from sunrise right through to sunset. Inside she's a divine deep blue, her bed a cosy nook framing views of the dawn and the deer paddocks, with a full kitchen, combi oven and pretty antique blue-and-white china. She's fully insulated with electric heating and a wood burning stove for winter. Out on the deck is your own private wood-fired hot tub and dining area, with a BBQ and seating in the orchard behind. There really is no finer spot on the farm for two.

Her open, south-facing paddock and 180-degree views give you the widest, clearest sky on the farm, and south-facing is the ideal aspect in the northern hemisphere, since the moon, the planets and the great winter constellations all track across the southern sky. Deep inside the Cranborne Chase International Dark Sky Reserve, clear moonless nights here are spectacular. Lie back in the wood-fired hot tub on the deck and watch the whole southern sky wheel overhead, from Orion and Sirius in winter to the heart of the Milky Way in summer.
